Look at the lens, not your notes.
Paste your script, set the pace and read it as it scrolls past your camera. Record the take in the same window. It's free, runs in your browser and there's nothing to install.
From script to take in four steps
-
Paste your script
Type it, paste it or load a .txt file. A blank line starts a new paragraph, and you can jump between paragraphs while you read.
-
Set it up for your eyes
Choose speed, font size, line spacing and text width. Mirror the text for teleprompter glass, and move the reading guide to sit just under your lens.
-
Roll
A countdown gives you a breath, then the text scrolls. Nudge it with the mouse wheel, drag it, or use the arrow keys and a presentation clicker.
-
Record the take
Record camera and mic or your voice only, with background music mixed in if you like. Preview the take and download it when you stop.
Put anything behind the words
A solid color, a photo, a looping video, or your own camera so you can check your framing while you read. Darken it as much as you need to keep the text sharp, and add a music bed that pauses when you do.
